Your categories and markets control where and how your profile shows up across Studiomate. They help you stay discoverable in the markets (cities) and categories where you want clients to find you.
The number of categories and markets you can select depends on your subscription plan.
Categories require Save Profile. Markets require Save Market.
If you’ve reached your limit, you’ll need to remove one before adding a new one or upgrade your subscription plan.
Where to Update Categories
Go to your Talent Dashboard.
Select Profile.
Open the Expertise tab.
Select Categories.
Use the Search bar to find a category.
Select a category to add it to your Selected Categories.
Repeat until you’ve added the categories you want.
Select Save Profile.
In Selected Categories, click the “x” on any category tag.
Select Save Profile.
Where to Update Markets
Go to your Talent Dashboard.
Select Markets from the left navigation.
On this page, you’ll see:
An Add button to add a market.
A Selected Markets panel showing where you currently appear.
Select Add
Choose a Region
Choose a Country
Choose a City/Market
Confirm your selection and select Save Market
Select Continue after the market is added.
In Selected Markets, click the “x” next to the market you want to remove
Your list updates immediately (and your available slot opens up if you were at your limit)
Tip: Markets are where clients can search and find you. Update them when you relocate, travel for work, or want to expand into new cities.
Keep your categories aligned with your strongest capabilities.
Choose markets where you’re actively available or want more client opportunities.
Update your selections any time your capabilities, location, or services change.
